Buses and minibuses
In Büyükçekmece, buses and minibuses are among the most popular modes of ground transportation. The main bus routes are 401, 448, 142B, 300, 303, 401T, and 76C. By bus, you may get to places like Yenibosna, Çatalca, Beylikdüzü, Silivri, Bakırköy and Halkalı. There are several routes for minibuses, the most notable of which are: Büyükçekmece-Beykent Carrefour, Büyükçekmece-Beylikdüzü Belediyesi, and Büyükçekmece-Yakuplu. Büyükçekmece is located on the E-5 and E-80 motorways, which connect Asian and European Istanbul.
Passenger ferry boats (Vapur)
There is no direct ferry service to Büyükçekmece. If you’re coming from Istanbul’s Asian side and wish to take a ferry to Büyükçekmece, use the Bostancı-Avcilar line, which runs on Mondays. Alternatively, take the ferry to Bakırköy and then take the buses to Büyükçekmece.
Metro and tram
The metro line does not yet offer a direct connection to Büyükçekmece, as it is under construction. Yet, if you wish to take the metro to Büyükçekmece, take the M1A Yenikapı-Ataturk Airport line to Yenikapı Station, then take bus routes 448, 303, or 401T to Büyükçekmece.
Marmaray rail line
Despite the fact that Marmaray is a 76.6 km long intercontinental commuter rail line in Istanbul, there is no direct link to Büyükçekmece through Marmaray. To travel to Büyükçekmece via the Marmaray Line, first, arrive at Yenikapı Marmaray
Station, then transfer to the M1A Yenikapı Metro Line-Ataturk Airport and get out at Yenibosna Station, from whence you may take bus lines 303 or 448 to Büyükçekmece.
Metrobus
The Metrobus line does not yet provide a direct route to Büyükçekmece, but the region will be served soon. If you’re using the metrobus, exit at Yenibosna station and transfer to bus lines 303, 448, or 401T to Büyükçekmece.
Fresh Seafood
